Who are we?
LIFF, the Limpopo International Film Festival in South Africa, is dedicated to showcasing remarkable films, with a particular focus on empowering aspiring filmmakers, especially the youth of Limpopo. Beyond screenings, the festival offers valuable workshops, seminars, and outreach initiatives, including screenings in underserved township areas where traditional cinemas are absent. LIFF serves as a networking platform, attracting local and international industry stakeholders, opening doors to global cinematic treasures that enrich the South African audience.

Gender-Based Violence
In 2023, LIFF addressed the pressing issue of Gender-Based Violence, which has reached epidemic proportions in South Africa. The festival engaged young filmmakers in creating short films aimed at raising awareness about this critical problem. This initiative garnered substantial support from emerging filmmakers and proved highly successful in educating the community about this widespread issue.
